I have had to put my belongings in an extra dry bag. The storage compartment in the back gets wet every time and I am just paddling on a flat lake. Granted this is not a high and expensive kayak but still these are basic things that shouldn’t happen. The small compartment in the front ripped and kept Falling out. The J hook that holds the paddle kept falling out and when it was in I kept hitting my knuckles on it. The material ripped out from around the plastic plugs that hold the seat in the first time out. There’s not enough support in the seat back which causes back pain. I’ve had the kayaks for five years and have used them quite a bit however I agree that the seats are cheap and uncomfortable. If you decide to “upgrade” to a different style of kayak later on then you could easily sell this used on Facebook Marketplace for $100-$150.Similar to many of the other reviews. You can buy this kayak for a lot less than a regular kayak and use it to decide if you actually enjoy kayaking or not.
